Ross retired from Global Affairs Canada in 2022 after a 44-year career. His numerous overseas assignments took him to Europe, Latin America and Asia, lastly serving as Consul General in Dubai. Overseas, he advanced Canada’s trade interests and served Canadian companies from a multitude of sectors. Through his foreign and domestic assignments, he developed deep expertise in economic analysis and trade policy. He continues to closely follow global economic developments and financial markets. He has an MBA from York University and an Honours BA in philosophy from the University of Toronto.
